Interview de Bully Ray avec le Poughkeepsie Journal!

Il y a peu, l'ancien leader des Aces & Eight a été interviewé pour le Poughkeepsie Journal, par Phil Strum. Ray parle de sujets variés, comme le PPV à venir en collaboration avec la HOH et l'importance de proposé un produit différent :

PS: To you, what was the feeling like to be able to shock everyone and come out to the ring at HOH 3?
Comment vous sentiez-vous aptès avoir surpris tout le monde en venant sur un ring de la HOH 3P?

BR: It was great. I came up in a company, ECW, that was really good at shocking people. I think wrestling, across the board, needs that shock and awe feel. I do shock really well as I did in TNA in the last year as the president of Aces and Eights. What I did at House of Hardcore, people were buzzing, the wrestling world was buzzing, the internet was buzzing. It got a ton of hits on YouTube. It’s good for wrestling.
C'était génial. Je proviens de l'ECW, qui était vraiment une fédération bonnes pour surprendre, choquer les gens. Je pense que le monde de la lutte a besoin de ce style de sensations: choc et effroi. Je surprend, choque de belle façon comme j'ai pu le faire l'année dernière, à la TNA, en tant que président de Aces and Eights. C'est ce que j'ai fait à la House Of Hardcore, les gens buzzaient, le monde de la lutte buzzaient. J'ai obtenu une tonne de réactions sur YouTube. C'est bon pour la lutte.

PS: How important is it for companies like TNA to do think outside the box a bit and do things like this. I was talking to Tommy Dreamer about how moments like that really don’t happen anymore.
L'importance pour une fédération telle que la TNA à sortir des sentiers battus et faire des choses comme cela. J'en parlait avec Tommy Dreamer, de telles segments, moments, ne sont guère proposés actuellement. 
 
BR: It’s very important for companies to do things like that. It keeps it interesting for people and it keeps people into wrestling across the board. Nobody really, in wrestling, is knocking them dead right now and selling out every arena. Wrestling is where it is right now. There’s a demographic that will always tune in and always buy merchandise and always buy the shows. But whenever you do something like I did at House of Hardcore, and people go, ‘hey HOH and TNA are working together,’ it’s lightning in a bottle. It’s a spark. TNA is also putting on a loaded card that night that people are going to want to be there in person for.
Il est important que les fédérations fassent des choses comme ça. Cela donne de l'intérêt pour le produit à tout niveaux....(partie intraduisible, désolé).... Il y a une tranche d'âge qui sera toujours l'écoute et achètera toujours les marchandises et les shows. Mais lorsque vous faites quelque chose comme je l'ai fait à la House Of Hardcore, et les personnes sont làs et disent :"'hey, la HOH et la TNA travaillent ensemble", c'est une lumière dans la pénombre. La TNA propose également une carte chargée ce soir-là, les gens vont vouloir assister aux show.

PS: Why should people come out to see TNA’s pay-per-view in Poughkeepsie?
Pourquoi les personnes devraient venir voir le PPV de la TNA à Poughkeepsie?

BR: It’s being filmed for pay-per-view and whenever it’s pay-per-view, the wrestlers perform at a much higher level and the show is that much more important. It’s a stacked card. It’s not your traditional wrestling live event. These aren’t regular wrestling matches. We’ve got Jeff Hardy and Abyss in a Monster’s Ball match. We’ve got Bobby Roode and Cowboy James Storm in a Last Man Standing match, and of course, you’ve got me and Dreamer in a falls-count-anywhere, old-school, street fight. If I am a fan, Mid-Hudson Civic Center is a great place for wrestling and is a great environment. TNA is a fan-friendly company, so you know you’re going to show up and get your autographs. Tickets are not that expensive. Besides, what other wrestling are you going to watch on a Monday night?
C'est filmé comme un pay-per-view et les lutteurs proposent à chaque PPV un niveau plus élevé, avec un show plus important. C'est une carte construite. Ce n'est pas votre un live show classique. Ce ne sont pas les matchs habituels de catch. Il y a Jeff Hardy et Abyss dans un Monster's Ball Match. Bobby Roode et le Cowboy James Storm dans un Last Man Standing, et bien sûr, moi et Dreamer dans un falls-caount-anywhere, old school, street fight. Si je suis un fan,  Le Mid-Hudson Civic Center est un endroit idéal pour voir du catch. La  TNA est une fédération proche des fans, vous savez que vous allez y aller et obtenir vos autographes. Les billets ne sont pas chers. D'ailleurs, qu'elle autre fédération de catch pouvez-vous bien regarder un lundi soir?

PS: A lot of wrestlers don’t like ranking things in their career, but 2013 had to be a really great year for you. What do you think?
Un grand nombre de lutteurs n'apprécient pas que l'on classe leur carrière mais votre année 2013 a été vraiment bonne pour vous. Qu'en pensez-vous?

BR: I’m one of those guys who doesn’t rank moments in my career as my favorite or my best. It was all great. My greatest moment in my career was the whole thing. I’ve really enjoyed my whole run. I’ve had too many memorable moments and matches. 2013 was really great for me. I did what people thought I’d never be able to do. I was able to shock people like no other people can do. In 2013, I pulled off the biggest con in wrestling in a long time when I revealed myself as the president of Aces and Eights and people were (angry) about it. Whether Bully Ray is World Heavyweight Champion or not, I’m on the top of your tongue, whether it’s hoping I die or go screw myself. I’m relevant and I’ve always been relevant.
Je suis un de ces gars qui réalisent des classement de leurs meilleurs moments où ceux qu'ils préfèrent. Tout a été grand, l'ensemble de ma carrière. Je l'apprécie vraiment. J'ai eu de nombreux segments et matchs mémorables. 2013 était vraiment super pour moi. J'ai fait ce que les gens ne soupçonnait pas, ils pensaient que je ne serais jamais capable de le faire. J'ai pu choquer les gens comme personnes d'autres avant moi. En 2013, j'ai tiré le gros lot en révélant être le président de Aces & Eights et les gens étaient (en colère) sur ce sujet. Que Bully Ray soit World Heavyweight Champion ou non, je suis sur toute les bouches. J'ai toujours été pertinents.
